Extreme Wealth
We undertook a 14 page features spread for a major Fashion Magazine in Turkey called Trendsetter a few weeks ago.
The brief read like this: Depict the New 7 deadly Sins as just brought out by the Vatican. Feel free to use your imagination to bring them alive, while not forgeting it is a fashion feature. At that point all the lights went out in our brains, the old deadly sins are so easy to depict, the new ones, we thought "is someone having a laugh here" :)
So these new Sins are: 1. Creating Poverty 2. Extreme Wealth 3. The Widening Divide Between Rich & Poor 4. Bioethical issues, such as birth control 5. Drug Abuse 6. Morrally dubious research 7. Polluting the enviroment
Well after a few weeks of head scratching and banging, ups and downs, dissapointments & elations etc, we put together a team of fantastic models, stylists, hair, makeup etc people and over 2days of shooting came up with some lovely images. As always the magazine has choosen the images they deem depict what they where looking for and best depict the sins in their eyes, above is one of the images that made their way into the magazine.
Unfortunately we are not able to post up the images as in the magazine (all in Turkish you see) as they better explain and carry the story
Please enjoy

Wow ... this shot screams accessories. I love how the woman is almost 'buried' behind the lines and the patterns and her eyes pierce through it all. Wonderful.

nice one Suby - congrats on the magazine spread - this is a very cool image I love the jewelery and her eye make-up any reason you kept a slightly crumpled background instead of pure white or other texture?
