Suby In The House

Okay I took this image a few months ago at a wedding, there I am tired to the max sitting down having a rest when I saw this photo opportunity.

One of the problems I had been having that day was the lighting was pants and having to step my ISO to 3200 on a 20D was pushing the camera to its's limit (or past it). Another problem was I left my second 2gig card at home so had to shoot most of the shots in JPEG, now thats like shooting myself in the foot I know but the job must go on :)

I normarlly tend to convert images like these straight to monochrome cause of all the grain, but there was a problem, loved this image in colour, removing collour caste in JPEG ain't partucularly the easiest thing in the world, well thank God for all these hours I spend in front of the PC and all them photoshop books.

One thing I see more and more these days with some wedding photographs is the photographer doesn't bother to colour correct images, a process that takes only a few seconds. I definitely would not want to pay for me wedding images having a green or red ting to all the indoor images. Yes I could have further reduced the grainyness of this shot with more software trikery and all, but funny thing, I liked it grainy, now thats weird :)

Have a look at the original image which I posted yesterday.
