Sinem In The House
Turkey's largest and most magnificent railway station, Haydarpasa was built in the early 20th century by the German architects Otto Ritter and Helmuth Cuno as an important link in the Berlin-to-Baghdad railway scheme. A monument to the close Turkish - German relations of the time and a gift to the Ottoman Sultan from Kaiser Wilhelm II, the station is in neo-renaissance style and has a U-plan. On the Asian shore of the Bosphorus, Haydarpasa is the terminus for trains to and from Asian Turkey and Turkey's largest and most magnificent railway station.

Such a old feeling...appear like a picture you look from a new paper.

Nice shot compositionally, but could - in my opinion - use some noise reduction like NIK Dfine or other similar plug-in software.

Lovely compostion. I like the noise/grain but I dont know if I'd like it even more with it reduced. It's another 'what if" I guess. Nice work.

Dont listen to them - everything is good and grain is amazing! ;) Great shot. Like film grain really good.

I like it the wasy it is, it makes the photo look even older. Nice touch with the bird flying by.

Ok. Let me try. Realistic film grain. IMPORTANT! Thus it is necessary to look at a photo in scale of 100 % (Alt+Ctrl+0) Fist of all – use this technique only with finished and ready to print picture. 1. Make new layer: Layer-New – Layer (Shift+Ctrl+N) 2. In the new layer window - Mode – Overlay – check “Fill with Overlay-neutral color (50% gray)” box 3. Filter – Noise – Add noise. Gaussian - Monochromatic - Amount 5-15% 4. Then you need to change the Image interpolation. Go to Edit – Preferences and change it from Bicubic to Nearest Neighbor. 5. Select the Layer with the Noise. Edit – Transform – Scale. Let's increase it in sizes in 1.2-2 times. Im usually set W = 200% and H = 200%. Ok. We have grain now but grain looks too roughly and unnaturally. 6. Go to Filter – Add noise – Median set Radius to 2. 7. Do not forget to change back the Image Interpolation to Bicubic Pay attention, that at viewing a photo in scale of 100 % the effect from grain seems to much greater, than it will be appreciable on a print. By change of a transparency of a layer with noise it is possible to reduce or inlarge its influence on a photo. Pay attention, that as we have increased the size of grain, there was an interesting effect: grain is shown only in the areas containing small number of details.
